What’s New for 2025

Dental services are now available at the MemorialCare Medical Group health center in the University Park area of Irvine. This site, opened in partnership with Pacific Dental Services, is the first-of-its-kind location to offer integrated medical-dental services – one of several co-located practices that will open over the next five years.

We’ve expanded primary care access with new health centers in the City of Lakewood, the Naples area of Long Beach, and in the City of Carson in the South Bay.

Continued expansion of telehealth services include: 24/7 On-Demand virtual visits, video visits, virtual triage, e-visits, pregnancy monitoring, and TytoCare-equipped physicians. Urgent care offers walk-ins and advanced scheduling.

Beginning in 2025, MemorialCare Independent Physicians' pediatricians will no longer be in the MCHA network. If you wish to remain a MCHA member in the future, you will need to choose a new pediatrician from one of our other partners or medical groups (MemorialCare Medical Group, Torrance Memorial or PIH Health) for care beginning January 1, 2025. If you want to continue using the pediatricians with MemorialCare Independent Physicians at the “in-network” payment level in 2025, you will need to change plans and enroll in a standard health care plan option during Boeing’s annual enrollment opportunity in November. 

If you, or anyone else in your family are receiving care from a Family or Internal Medicine provider affiliated with MemorialCare Independent Physicians, this will not affect you, as those providers will remain in the network.

Serving south Orange County for nearly 50 years, MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center celebrated the grand opening of Orange County’s first dedicated Women’s Health Pavilion, a three-story, 42,000 square-foot-space dedicated to women’s health. It houses the largest and most comprehensive breast center in the region and includes exceptional physicians and services covering obstetrics and gynecology, oncology, cardiology and more.

We continue to expand our telehealth services so that you have greater access to care when and where you want. Some recent examples:

• On-Demand virtual visits - We’ve made it easier to schedule a video visit for primary and urgent care through our new On-Demand feature. On-Demand video visit urgent care is available 24/7.
• MemorialCare Virtual Exam Kit powered by TytoCare - For a more enhanced virtual experience, a dedicated group of MemorialCare Medical Group physicians are now equipped to use TytoCare products to gain greater access to a patient's real-time health data, allowing them to make more informed diagnoses during video visits. The MemorialCare Virtual Exam Kit helps physicians hear patients’ heart and lung sounds, conduct ear and throat exams, measure temperatures, take images of skin issues, and more. Patient will need the MemorialCare Virtual Exam Kit.
  • Any MCHA participant can purchase a TytoCare device. Please note, when you have your virtual exam, it will be with a MemorialCare Medical Group provider, and may not be with your regular Primary Care Provider.
• Babyscripts myJourney - Pregnant women have access to this mobile app to educate, engage, and inspire them through their pregnancy and postpartum journey. The app includes: a feed of daily customized content, from conception to your baby’s first birthday, provider-approved resources, weight monitoring and care team contact information.
