Haleh Safavi, MD

Haleh Safavi, MD, always wanted to be a physician. Since she was a child her father was her role model and she made sure her dream of becoming a physician would come true. She chose internal medicine as her specialty so she could be part of her patients’ lives and create a strong bond. She is dedicated to serving her patients with high-quality, compassionate care. Dr. Safavi makes the constant effort to connect with her patients, establish trusting relationships and deliver personalized care. She enjoys the close connections she makes with her patients and is always their advocate.

Dr. Safavi grew up in Shiraz, Iran, the city of wine and poetry, and speaks Farsi. She completed her medical schooling in Shiraz, her internship at the Derby Hospital of Yale, and her residency at the University of Connecticut. Outside of medicine, she enjoys swimming, biking, spending time with her family and loves poetry.
