About Me

Caitlin R. Bertelsen, M.D. is a board-eligible otolaryngologist with Southern California Ear, Nose and Throat in Long Beach.

She earned her medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine at University of Southern California (USC) during which time she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society and is a current member. She completed her residency in otolaryngology at the USC Tina & Rick Caruso Department of Otolaryngology, Keck Medicine at LAC + USC Medical Center.  She then moved to Portland, Oregon to complete a one-year fellowship in Laryngology, pursuing advanced training in voice, airway and swallowing disorders as well as in-office laryngeal procedures.

Dr. Bertelsen’s areas of research include voice disorders and airway stenosis. She has been published in peer-reviewed journal and authored chapters on the subject.

In her free time, Dr. Bertelsen enjoys running, swimming and travel.
