Alex Zand, MD, has a passion for interacting with people and caring for them, which ultimately played a role in his decision to become an internal medicine physician. Dr. Zand is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician whose interests include geriatric care, diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, and women’s health, among many others. He has been practicing since 1998 and his philosophy is to care for patients as if they were his own family. He believes in accessibility to care, and the power of nutrition in our daily health. His medical schooling was completed at St. George’s School of Medicine in New York, clinicals were completed at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, and his residency was completed at the Oklahoma University in Oklahoma. Dr. Zand grew up in San Diego, California and is fluent in Farsi and conversational in Spanish. Outside of medicine, he enjoys biking, traveling, listening to music, and spending time with his family.
