What’s New for 2024

In May 2023, MemorialCare Medical Group opened a new health center in the University Park Center on Culver Drive with Family Medicine, OB/GYN, ultrasound and laboratory services. Patients will also be able to access dental services at an on-site Smile Generation® clinic soon (opening in late fall 2023).

MemorialCare Medical Group will be opening three new health centers in Lakewood, Long Beach (Belmont Shore) and Carson in 2024. Each new location will offer primary care services, including Family Medicine and Internal Medicine as well as laboratory draw stations. In addition, OB/GYN, EKG and ultrasound services will be available at the Carson health center. We are thrilled to be able to expand access to primary care in the LA County region.

Greater Newport Physicians is now Greater Newport Physicians MemorialCare (GNPM) – giving patients even more access to quality medical care backed by a leading health care system.

For nearly four decades, doctors with Greater Newport Physicians have remained dedicated to providing primary care that patients trust. As an Independent Practice Association (IPA), GNPM, physicians are in private practice. When you select a PCP with GNPM, you’ll receive personalized care with direct access to your doctor. Serving south Orange County for nearly 50 years, MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center will celebrate the grand opening of Orange County’s first dedicated Women’s Health Pavilion. It will house the largest and most comprehensive breast center (opening in fall 2023) in the region and will include exceptional physicians and services covering obstetrics and gynecology, oncology, cardiology and more.

In addition, Saddleback Medical Center recently opened an OB Emergency Department at The Women’s Hospital offering enhanced coverage for pregnant women with concerns. Learn more.

We continue to expand our telehealth services so that you have greater access to care when and where you want. Some recent examples:

• On-Demand virtual visits - We’ve made it easier to schedule a video visit for primary and urgent care through our new On-Demand feature. On-Demand video visit urgent care is available 24/7.
• MemorialCare Virtual Exam Kit powered by TytoCare - For a more enhanced virtual experience, a dedicated group of MemorialCare Medical Group physicians are now equipped to use TytoCare products to gain greater access to a patient's real-time health data, allowing them to make more informed diagnoses during video visits. The MemorialCare Virtual Exam Kit helps physicians hear patients’ heart and lung sounds, conduct ear and throat exams, measure temperatures, take images of skin issues, and more. Patient will need the MemorialCare Virtual Exam Kit.
  • Any MCHA participant can purchase a TytoCare device. Please note, when you have your virtual exam, it will be with a MemorialCare Medical Group provider, and may not be with your regular Primary Care Provider.
• Babyscripts myJourney - Pregnant women have access to this mobile app to educate, engage, and inspire them through their pregnancy and postpartum journey. The app includes: a feed of daily customized content, from conception to your baby’s first birthday, provider-approved resources, weight monitoring and care team contact information.
