After obtaining her Bachelor Degree from the University of California, Davis, Dr. Alfonso went on to complete a Master’s Degree in Applied Physiology from the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Illinois, prior to entering medical school. She returned to California to complete her medical training at Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC).
I chose pediatrics because I love children and their innocence, honesty and non-judgmental approach to life constantly reminds me of the more important values in life. Their smiles, hugs and trust, make it all worthwhile. I believe in treating my patients as I would any family member. It is an honor to be welcomed into their lives as a partner in guiding them towards healthy lifestyles.
Outside of the office, Dr. Alfonso is busy with her husband and new baby. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, indoor rock climbing, traveling and exploring new cultures and foods.
