Golshan Fahimi, M.D. chose a career in medicine because of her deep fascination with the human body and a strong desire to help others. During an undergraduate course in neurobiology, she became captivated by the complexities of the brain. The struggles of a childhood friend who had epilepsy influenced her decision to go into neurology with the hope of contributing to advancements in treatment and improving patient outcomes. Dr. Fahimi is deeply committed to patient-centered care and takes a holistic approach, considering all aspects of a patient's life that might impact their health.
She graduated from the Urmia University of Medical Sciences in Iran and served as a visiting research scientist at Yale University School of Medicine. She completed her neurology residency at New York Upstate Medical University and her Clinical neurophysiology fellowship at Brown University. Outside of medicine, Dr. Fahimi is an avid soccer fan and enjoys travel across the United States, documenting her journeys through photography.
What gives me the most satisfaction in working with patients is the ability to make a meaningful difference in their lives. Whether it’s through diagnosing a challenging condition, providing effective treatment, or simply offering a listening ear and emotional support, the impact on their well-being is incredibly rewarding.
