Dr. Salib is a nationally recognized expert and leader in ophthalmology, frequently lecturing and educating fellow doctors nationwide. He has published numerous articles in the ophthalmic literature and has written and edited several book chapters.
Dr. Salib graduated from UCLA for his pre-medical training. Received a Masters degree at Georgetown University and then graduated from the University of Wisconsin Medical School. His ophthalmology training was at King-Drew Medical Center, a UCLA affiliated residency program in LA. He further specialized in advanced surgical techniques during a fellowship at Tulane University.
He also did a special Fellowship in Cataract surgery at the De La Pena Eye Clinic where he stayed on for 9 years treating patients and doing surgery.
He took over the practice of Dr. William McCarthy in Jan. 2011 at Saddleback Medical Towers.
Dr. Salib is one of the few doctors in California that is certified to use the newest LensX Laser for Cataract surgery. He has recently updated the office with the most state of the art equipment to give patients the best outcomes in their general care as well as surgery. He does NOT have an optical department in his office.
In his spare time Dr. Salib enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He swims, plays the piano, violin and viola as well as lifting weights. He also donates time to his church.
