Bonnie Pittaluga, MD, chose a career in medicine because she wanted to combine her interest in science with her desire to help others. Board certified in pediatrics, she emphasizes prevention and education in her patient care, as she believes it is important to establish healthy habits in her patients when they are young.
Dr. Pittaluga's favorite aspect of the physician-patient relationship is developing lifelong relationships with her patients and their families, as well as watching the children grow from infancy to adolescence. She also loves working with parents and family memberes to improve the overall health of their children.
I love working with children because I love watching them grow and experience their innocence, resilience and imagination.
After completing her medical education at St. George's University School of Medicine, West Indies, Dr. Pittaluga finished both her internship and residency at CHOC Children's Hospital of Orange County. In her spare time, Dr. Pittaluga enjoys going to church, reading, hiking and spending time with her husband and two children as well as the family dog.
