Dr. Ayman Neoman is a board-certified colorectal surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive colorectal and gastrointestinal surgery. He serves as the Vice Chair of the General & Vascular Surgery Section at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center.
His clinical interests include the spectrum of managing and treating different colorectal pathologies. This includes colorectal and anal cancer; inflammatory bowel disease; pouch surgery; sphincter preserving surgery; diverticular disease; colon polyps; stoma creation and closure; rectal prolapse; fecal incontinence; hemorrhoids; anal abscess; anal fistula and HIV-related anorectal disease.
Dr. Neoman earned his medical degree from Cairo University Medical School in Cairo, Egypt. He completed a residency in general surgery at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Cook County Hospital where he also completed a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery.
He is a fellow of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons as well as the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Neoman is a Diplomate by American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery and the American Board of General Surgery.
In his free time, Dr. Neoman loves to travel and explore new destinations especially with his family. He also does a lot of missionary work in underserved countries.
