Because we want you to have access to a broad network of physicians and care teams so that you can receive the personal support, coordinated care and an enhanced level of service you deserve, all at a more affordable cost, we're always looking for ways to offer you more choices and better access. Below is a list of the changes you can expect in the year ahead.

Network Changes

Beginning January 1, 2020, UCI Health will no longer be a participating partner in the MemorialCare Health Alliance. Their physicians – both primary care and specialists – as well as UC Irvine Medical Center and the three UCI Health centers in Tustin, Orange, and Yorba Linda will no longer be in the MemorialCare Health Alliance network.

Although this will not affect new members for 2020, if you are currently enrolled in MCHA, you have a couple of options:
• You can remain in the MemorialCare Health Alliance Preferred Partnership plan and either:

1) choose new doctors in our network to continue getting the in-network benefit level, or
2) continue using UCI doctors and facilities, but at the lower non-network benefit level

• You can choose a new Boeing healthcare plan during annual enrollment – the standard version of either the Advantage+ plan or Traditional Medical Plan – and continue to use UCI doctors and facilities. You’ll get the in-network level of benefit in those plans, but you’ll no longer get the incentives associated with the Preferred Partnership plan. For example, you won’t get the lower paycheck contributions, or higher Health Savings Account contributions, and you won’t get zero-cost primary care visits or generic prescription drugs.
